Finally ... after years of talking about it - Tully House has now got a website!

Of course, I now also need to keep updating this - which will require a lot of 'discipline' on my part! I will update with photos of new quilts and linens arriving.

About Me - Kirsty

I am passionate about home and garden - can never get enough of reading about homes and gardens - especially antique linens - the feel of these wonderful fabrics and the history of them - turning unloved items into wonderful new creations - breathing new life into lovely old bedding with the stunning handwork on so many of them.

Mixing up old with new - my head is constantly 'bursting' with ideas - just wish I could actually keep up with the pace of my brain!!

I enjoy pottering around in the garden - usually with a couple of cats or three in tow! and Molly our mad dog putting her pennys worth in too. I enjoy all the seasons of the garden - and at the moment Autumn is here with all her stunning colours of reds and golds. Akaroa Harbour glistens in the early morning and fills me a feeling of pure magic. The mountains stunning in the background.

Getting together with friends and enjoying the cooler weather with dinners around the fire and candles as evening closes in - with of course one or two glasses of wine!

I also plan to hold a few social events over the next few months - so watch this space. The first of which is:

Christmas House

This is to be held at my home as a mid-Christmas social gathering.

Get a group of friends together and come to Akaroa and joins us for a glass of wine and nibbles.

We are having wonderful weather here at the moment - got around to planting the last of the spring bulbs to turn around and discover Lilly (my ginger girl on the front of my message board) promptly digging them up - ably assisted by Roger!

The hydrangeas are turning into their gorgeous autumn colours, the last flush of roses before winter and the little wax eye birds are feasting on the figs outside our bedroom window. Have a few jobs to get around to doing before the garden has its 'winter rest' and we all hunker down for winter around roaring fires - giving time to rest and hopefully produce some more goodies for Tully House.

I will end this first message with a huge thank you for all the support received from Tully House customers and hoping to welcome more 'like minded' souls to enjoy the Tully House range - I source different products and have a lot made up especially for Tully House to ensure customers of being able to buy unique linens and gifts.Came across a lovely quote the other day to remember summer by:

You can't pluck a rose
all fragrant with dew
Without part of its fragrance
remaining with you.

Take care and keep warm.
