MARCH 2009

Firstly, my apologies for not updating the website as regularly as I should have!! I will try better in 2009!

My reasons for not being able to do so have been very valid. I have been kept very busy with the shop and also my interior design work. In order to be able to commit more time to the interior design side of things, Tully House Linens will only be open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday or by prior appointment commencing from beginning of May 2009. This will enable me to free up more time to see clients in Christchurch and elsewhere on the other days.

With Autumn approaching – bringing a gradual end to those evenings on the front porch with wine! - thoughts turn to roaring fires and even warmer beds!
Pile your beds up with lovely layers of quilts and Tully House feather and down eiderdowns - I will endeavour to source more lovely fabrics to make up eiderdowns, comforters and cushions. Also don’t forget wonderful sheets both new and antique, afterall, the bedroom is our sanctuary and should be treated as such – no skimping in this room please!! It may only need a new pair of pillow cases just to freshen up your ‘look’.

I will also be hoping to get more French flour sack eiderdowns made up (an example of one can be seen in the March 2009 issue of NZ House & Garden in the article on my house) – These gorgeous antique flour sacks usually come decorated with blue monogramming and stripes or in red. They are such a gorgeous raw texture.

Accessorise, Accessorise! Don’t forget candles, scented sachets and hanging hearts made by Tully House.

Beautiful French soaps and bath oils and antique towels – I have a few of these stunning towels which make wonderful hand towels being of a longer length than usual and different lace and crochet edges – create that wonderful ‘shabby chic’ look in your bathroom.

Please keep in touch with me and let me know your thoughts and what you would like to see more of.

Also, I welcome new customers wanting interior decorating consultations.

Take care - Kirsty
